I would like to document the processes involved in the development of a VFX piece. There really is no standard and each approach might differ from a studio to another. One thing pretty common is the involvement of concept designs. I'd like to start from one.

This scene is part of the sequence of shots my team at Gstyle and Enising did last year for the theatrical release of an old manga from the Legendary Osamu Tezuka.

The requirement was to design and modify an American Apache helicopter, ...

This is an offshoot of the discussion here:

This is a quick attempt to demonstrate how to control particle movement using often forgotten but equally important spacewarps. For simplicity, I will be demonstrating using a superspray.

My basic ingredients are:

1. Gravity (depends if you are simulating inspace or outer space (zero gravity) particle movement)

2. Wind ...

I will be posting a series of commentaries about some of the scenes that my team worked on in the past.

The first in the series (I will not mention the title at backgrounder kasi hindi pa siya released) will be a scene involving an aircraft flying low altitude above a city somewhere. We do not like to imitate 9/11 not ...

Right now - I am looking at the beta of OZONE 4 from eon software. It is quite simple and might help you all whenever you need quick clouds or environent. Plugs into max rightaway.

I am still testing and we'll see if we can use this tool for future projects.

So why post here at the vfx conference?

It is because there are limited ways to create clouds as vfx and the current solutions (particles, volumetrics) has it downsides too in terms of cost, rendering time and applicability.
