Simplifying VrayProxy Tutorial

VrayPrxoxy is one method of saving a lot of geometry as well as saving a lot of rendertimes by creating an external proxy to your scene. However some procedures might be consider for us not to end up rendering a proxy with just one material. This is the error we usually encountered... and this method hope will ease up and address that situation.

HDR images are 64bit, and contain all the lighting information of a specific environment, going from for example the super bright sun to the darkest shadows. They are created by combining differently exposed images from the same subject. When shot with special equipment, ...

DOF Using MAX Standard Camera in Vray

Here is a simple guide to achieving DOF without the aid of the built-in vray camera. Instead we will be using 3ds MAX default camera in rendering and producing a depth-of-field, with the vray renderer.

And here is the resulting image based on the given settings.

Take note that the aperture value and the focal distance are variable.

Hope I was able to share something useful for you all. Feel free to give suggestions and comments.

Till next time...

Re :SPA (Using VRAY Depth of Field)

Hi Cgians,

Hope i can contribute from this post re : DOF which i used from my post SPA.

1.Choose vrayphysical camera (for me it is easy to control the mood of light)

2.Position the camera into preferred angle or shot.

3. Select the camera click the check button(/) depth of field

4. Select(/) specific focus and notice that the target from your camera will change.

5. By simply adjusting the target click the focus distance until it reaches the vrayphysical target. (See image)

Hi all to CGP members, just want to share this tutorial i did during my free time. Its just a simple scene so it will not be too complex to explain. Hope this will help especially to ones who are new to 3d rendering, and for those who have better options/solutions in the workflow stated, please dont hesitate to leave a comment/suggestion so that we can both learn from each other..
