Forest test animation

Post by Canadium on Thu Apr 08, 2010 2:04 am

During the long weekend (April 2-4) I decided to render an animation of this massive forest environment that has thousands of high poly trees. I used the free version of Indigo Renderer to do the work. The whole scene from the terrain up to the vegetation was all modeled inside Sketchup. The 12 sec. animation at 30fps took 90 hrs. to render. Each 720x480 frame took an average of 14 mins. to render. You can also watch the 'HD' style version on vimeo by clicking the link below.

Ang tagal talaga. The renderer I used uses similar method like maxwell render, fry render, octane render, arion render & lux render. Wala kasi itong settings na pwedeng i-adjust para mapabilis ang pagre-render.

Yes Sir, kapangpangan din ako.

I posted an updated HD copy of the post pro version of this forest test animation. I just tried adjusting the contrast and gave the scene a much warmer color. I used Motiva Real Camera for the post production.

Thanks a lot Sir! na enganyo akong gamitin yung indigo dahil magaganda yung ibang images nila sa gallery nila at kayang kaya nitong mag handle ng billions of polygons sa isang scene.
