what would perform better for architectural rendering for 3ds max?

I'd go for i7 cause I haven't tried AMD yet. Suabe ang rendering. Sisipagin ka mag test renders

mas malakas yung bagong 6 core ng AMD alam ko.

kaya lang meron labas ang evga na board dual i7.... im still searching for what casing is suitable for sr-2

AMD user ako since 1998,
from duron, athlon to phenom....
until i decide to built i7 wala ako masabi, superb!
but when comparing i7 & x6 syempre lamang x6,
kaya lang meron bago na board ngayun SR-2 it can fit two physical i7.
kung meron kana i7 madali nalang mag upgrade to dual i7, pero kung newly biult budget wise x6 panalo! hope it helps!

I checked the link, it says there that the mobo supports xeon processors, I did not see anything there about i7.

I read about this on EVGA forum, they said that this motherboard doesn't support any i7 processor, regardless if its LGA 1366. only for XEON processor as indicated on the specs of the motherboard.

thanks again sa rep nyo. pero yung choices ko lang po kasi ngayon is between i7 920 and amd x6 1090T. almost the same kasi prices nila. what I need to know is which of these processors (i7 920 and amd x6 1090T) ang sulit bilhin for architectural rendering.

AMD mobo only support 4slot for ram
but the I7 mobo its support 6slot of ram and triple channel.

pero kung between i7 & x6 processor alone. panalo x6!

x6 is true six core
i7 is 4core & 8 treads
