Lituzen: Mystical Forest

In a far old province in the Philippines, there was a family who take a vacation in their old house that lie somewhere in the middle of the forest.

One night their son hear a weird noise in his room coming from the forest, in the first few days, he ignores it. But he keeps on hearing it every night. One night because of his anxiety, he went out from their house with his buddy “Bunny the stuff toy” and check that weird noise that comes within the forest. He walk… walk… and walk and little did he know, he just entered the Mystical Forest of Lola Basyang where-in different creatures live and only few can enter. Then suddenly the boy was stunned because of what he saw. The creatures were also surprised that another human can enter their forest and can see them since lola basyang did. The news was swiftly spread within the forest and after they hear the news about the kid, they rapidly gather to welcome this Kid for his bravery.

After the kids encounter with his new friends. He now knows what that weird noise is… It’s the natures call for all humans who can bravely face their doubts and move aside their fear, to be brave and take the first step trusting yourself and with your faith and move towards what concerns you.

The kid THINKS how can he find the answer to his question “what’s that weird noise?” so he ACT and take his first step to answer that question (he go to the woods and search for that weird noise). After that, the kids FAITH keeps in him that he knew God is always there to support and protect him.
THINK, ACT and have FAITH… a great help for all human to achieve what they want. Maybe sometimes we fail but we never fail if we give our best shot because we learn from it.

In the illustration we can see the different emotions from the characters. Some were happy, some were not, some were confused and some are just like normal… it also represent our human nature welcoming new people in our life. Some were happy because they gain new friends, to some it’s just like normal… some were confused if they can trust this man or not and some were not happy, well I don’t know why… maybe because they think that it’s another opponent or it’s just a nuisance, I don’t know… who knows why and what’s with this people?

While I’m working… these ideas form in my mind and I want to extract it from my brain. And the illustration was the result. I hope you like the illustration. I know I’m still in the process of learning and there’s still a long road to walk. There is always a room for improvement. But someday I believe I will also be the person that I want to be…

old concept:

“The illustration will be focused on the first encounter of the kid with these great creatures”

( iniisip ko ung concept na parang may batang nag bakasyon sa liblib na lugar kasama family nya… tapos nung gabi natutulog na lahat may narinig syang kakaibang tunog galling sa kagubatan… bumangon sya tapos pinuntahan ung kakaibang tunog… tapos nung napuntahan na nya nagulat sya at nakita nya ung mga kakaibang nilalang sa gubat… ang concept nya first encounter nung bata na makita ang mga kakaibang nilalang… pagiisipan q mabuti qng anu mas magiging maganda… update q nlang to once nafinalize q na concept ko… masyado pa kasi ako maraming naiisip gusto ko muna i filter yung mga ideas para mas maipaliwanag ko nang mabuti... sa ngayon concentrate muna ako sa pag pipinta..

bro pa ki share nman ng tips mo ilaw oras kaya to bago matapos ang ginawa mo bro, astig to galing.

hindi ko lang sure bro qng ilang araw eh... kasi pasundot sundot ako gumawa nung ginawa ko ito.. about sa tips, sa work in progress ko dito sa tingin ko may makakahoy ka dun kahit papano... pero I'm still in the process of learning kaya mas maganda siguro kung sa solidong mga master ka humingi ng payo... pinag aaralan ko pa din kasi ngayun yung ibat ibang techniques eh... kaya baka may maishare ako sayo na makalito pa... salamat ulit dude!

praktis praktis lang bro... hehe... inaaral ko pa tlaga yun pag kukulay eh... kaya mahirap nmn kung ituturo ko sa iyo yung ndi ko pa sigurado kung effective... pero nung ginawa ko ito nag start ako sa sketch then kinulayan ko siya black and white kung mapapansin mo sa wip ko... naka layer siya lahat kya yung iba na adjust ko sa hue and saturation tska ko tinira sa blending mode na softlight, overlay, color... sana nakatulong ako... pag may mga nadiskubre ako ulit sabihan kita... salamat bro..
