Quadro graphics card doesn't support games. It is mainly for 3D rendering purposes only.

Not really. Quadro cards are similar to their gaming card counterparts. They have special drivers that make them run 3d/Engineering programs (viewport performance) better than their gaming card counterpart. Example, the Quadro FX4600 is based around the 8800GTX. So in games they should have roughly the same performance. Personally though, as someone said it, Quadros are too expensive. It really depends on how deep your wallet is/ performance vs price gain/ investment if you plan to get these.

Some 3d programs don't even have much increase in viewport performance even with Quadros or high end cards (like Lightwave Neutral ). I find my 8800GT more than enough, even might consider downgrading even just for a lower power consumption. Unless you play games on the PC as well, I don't see the necessity of a high end card, much more an SLI/Crossfire set-up. Smile

Etong suggestion at choices ko:

core 2Quad 9650 (4threads 3ghz 1333FSB)or core i7 920 (8threads 2.66 ghz 1366FSB) ka na konti lang 2-4K ang diprensya nun
MoBo:Striker,XFX or EVGA 790i ultra for LGA 1333, Asus Rampage2 or EVGA X58 Classified for LGA 1366
*remember magkaiba sila ng Front Side Bus di sila interchageabla pati memory
Corsair= Dual channel DDR3 Dominator for Core 2Q, Tripple channel DDR3 Dominator for Core i7
Geforce Nvidia GTX275 to Geforce Nvidia GTX295, ok lang kahit di ka naka SLI
Harddisk: Internal;160gb 32mb cache for O.S. 300gb for storage OK lang yan mas OK kung SSD ang OS mo kaso mahal yun
Corsair HX720 watts or Coolermaster 700watts safe ka na for further upgrades nyan
Sony or Asus DVD writer 20x lightscribe(internal) and/or external kung me laptop ka pwede rin Bluray (kaso mahal pa)

External HDD: I Go for WD world edition 2Tb (kaya mas maliit ang internal ko)
Key board: Razer Lycosa or Logitech G15, or (Microsoft sidewinder X6 kung left hander ka)
Mouse: Razer Lachesis/ Mamba or Logitech G9
3D mouse: Space Navigator (investment din to)

**last: Pili ka ng the best UPS: APC, EMMERSON or ABLEREX
(kung ayaw mong masira ang pinaghirapan mo dahil sa electrical surge at fluctuation)
**High grade AVR and Power strip with surge fuse protection

Yun lang ask ulit kun me na miss-out pa ko
Ill also be building new RIG this 2010 PM me kung gusto mo sumabay sa Gilmore
