SKETCHUP + VRAY RUN SLOW

Post by sienes on Fri May 28, 2010 11:25 am

Hi guys,

Please help me solve my problem in vray for su7. When the file size will start bigger, the vray render is going to run slow, sometimes it will crush the entire su session. Is it because i am using too much components? Or my file is too big already? How can i make vray renderings run faster on sketchup? i am using core 2 duo processor w/ 2gig RAM , 2gig NVIDIA video card.
Please help.

ARCHT. RITCHE

it depends on the settings of your vray...sometimes using too many reflection materials and omni lights for vfsu makes a long time to finish your rendering...

for your pc specs...the higher...the better... goodluck

1. the new vray is much much better when it comes to high poly models. my quick guess is you are using the old one.

2. if you are using the old one, use remove cgmaterial plugins by thomthom which can be downloaded either at asgvis.com or sketchucation.com.. vray su has difficulties in reading the position of the texture. if its in or out of the component. this happen normally if you put alot of components from the warehouse for example.
