2d Sketch Rendering in Photoshop

Hi Guys, a little bit of intro first......

So, this is it! I'm trying to post a tutorial of what I do, which is 2d rendering....na konti na lang ang gumagawa...after being busy with stuff finally makakapagpost na ako ng tutorials..of course this is not possible without fellow cgpinoys who are eagerly waiting for this....so just sit back and enjoy

1) first you have a sketch that makes it the first object in your layers....so it's up to you how saturated you want it to get by adjusting the opacity at the upper right hand corner....pag 100% parang anime sketch ang dating diba ..and we don't want na masyadong prominente ang lines.....because color also gives the detail of your perspective

2) Next, make another layer which you want to work next...so let's say you want to make clouds next....using the brush tool, you can use the simplest round brush or in my case, my personal favorite is the calligraphy brushes......first make a base color of the sky......freehand movements, don't be afraid na lalagpas siya sa mga lines, in this case, lagpas = the beauty of it, LOL

manipulate your brush, using different sizes, strokes and most of all opacity para di ka na titimpla ng light blue, etc same with the white strokes, pwde mo siya i-opacity

3) make layers for the colors of your components in the perspective ..let's say there's a layer for walls. roof, baseboard, mouldings, stone, pavement, patio etc..but if you're confident you could have it all in one layer like mine here..pag nagrevise..lagot ahahahaha

remember it's still using the brush tool.....if you use the fill tool..parang nagcoloring book ka hehehe

4) next maybe add further layers like windows, etc.....you could add some depth in your windows by adding effects to the layer like inner shadow...pwedeng minimal shadow na medyo shy or exaggerated to emphasize the mullions, etc

5) this is my favorite part...dito tayo mababaliw..rendering trees...hhahhaha so dito niyo na ibuhos ang galit niyo and make that "nginig" "nginig" move with your hands using your pen tablet mouse......kahit ordinary mouse ok lang din naman pero parang nagkakaskas ka ng ice...hehehehehe

imagine mo lang yung movement of the leaves, zigzag, loose movements..parang nagiisketch ka na rin diba pag tamad ka magdrawing ng leaves sa sketch outlines, dito mo na ibuhos ang details

o, wala pang shades n shadows yan

6) next you can add your layers of shade and shadows...use a base black color when using the brush tool and manipulate the opacity how dark or light you want your shade ansd shadows to be......

7) yung iba, they do the shades and shadows first so maybe it would look something like this, minus the colors.....

8) finally we have the finale image

after all the colors, you may want to add extra stuff like birds, people or fixtures which you can filter thru dry brush or watercolor effect and ta-daa, ready for a simple, quick presentation
