After the folks in Comic Con’s Hall H finished watching this theatrical trailer for “Tron: Legacy”, Walt Disney has released it online. See? Who says you need to fly across the country and brave slightly obese guys in cosplay outfits in order to enjoy some nice trailers? Although I bet those outfits look better live… Anyhoo, check out a very cool, flashy, and downright splendid full trailer for “Tron: Legacy”.

Sam Flynn, the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn, looks into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin’s loyal confidant, father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.

Starring Olivia Wilde, Michael Sheen, Jeff Bridges, Garrett Hedlund, James Frain, Bruce Boxleitner, Serinda Swan, Beau Garrett, Yaya DaCosta, Brandon Jay McLaren, Elizabeth Mathis, and directed by Joseph Kosinski.

aha! sequel pa la to ng luma, 80's ata yun. mapanuod nga muna yung luma.

For the oldies here in CGP, do you guys remember this ultra-cool 3D rendering company called "k+d labs"? This was back in early 2000's, they did some pretty awesome 3D viz work and later on some work for tv commercials.

Here are a couple samples of their later work, they disbanded i think in 2006 or 2007.

The desert house was animation rendered way back in 2004 i think, but the still images were already up back in 2003 or 2002.

Anyway the guy who did this is the director of Tron, Joseph Kosinski. You can see how the influence was carried to the movie Tron.
