It’s your first-ever footage from Joss Whedon’s sure-to-be epic comic book movie “The Avengers” that was shown over at Comic Con, and it’s … well, it’s a big ol tease with Samuel L. Jackson providing a brief voiceover narration and the Avengers logo. But hey, better than nothing, right?

Based on the Marvel Comics series, “The Avengers” unites the world’s first superheroes — Thor, Iron Man, The Hulk, Captain America, Hawkeye, The Black Widow — led by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), the head of the International spy agency S.H.I.E.L.D. to defend the planet and humankind against threats domestic and intergalactic.

Starring Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Clark Gregg, and directed by Joss Whedon.
