vray proxy

hi, this is Narayan. i read the tutorial about creating vray proxy. i have some qurries.

1. once the vray proxy is created by vray mesh export, so when using it in another file, is it necessary to go thru vrayproxy command. Can't we directly import the max file whose file size & polys is already reduced by creating vrayproxy.

2. If the above procedure can be used then whats the use of creating xref object.
