Except for the really dark areas, this looks very good...

like good ol kuya cloudy's comments, the shadows look dark in here as well. If it looks fine in your laptop then the laptops probably not calibrated.

even with LWF theres a noticable color difference thats why i went for exponential mapping. maybe 2.2 gamma isnt the right choice after all. i should try on a desktop to see the result. thanks anyway

---Hmmm... If LWF doesn't fit the bill, lil brother #1 Vert's suggestion is the best way to go; monitor calibration...darkirender wrote:cloud20 wrote:--- Ahhh, happens to me too... Hmmmm... My best guess is that you have attempted to do LWF without even calibrating your color and grey ranges. Without doing that most important step, LWF in your setup will not mean a thing and will simply cause more trouble than it should. Exponential simply clips the bright ranges, if you do not want to change the color mapping style, you could just nudge the dark muliplier value a bit higher to brighten up the shadow areas...

Re: MAXimize 05- exponential mapping trial
Aside from the shadows eating more detail than it should, pay careful attention to the tiling in the rusty dirty thing near the roof. If I were you, I'd remove them completely. Adding that detail is fine but they call so much attention to themselves and they make the impressive architecture look like they aren't maintained well. Wear and tear is very important for realism but you must weigh the purpose when you add them, if you were simply visualizing something that should look real and old, then add those details. But if you are trying to sell a new house and previviz 'architectural) was the medium, you aren't going to close a lot of contracts with such a dirty house. You'd be better off doing something looking real and yet, spanking clean and glamorous. Same thing with fallen leaves that seems to be the trend lately.
It has to have a reason for being there. if not - then take it away.
Also check your mapping for the window frames, the lack of beveled highlights in those frames takes away some good points. Try adding some noticale reflections in the window glass if you have one up the second floor. It feels a bit smokey like you have screen wires there na panlaban sa lamok..
If I am going to construct that patio, I am sure I will put a concrete base btween the grass and the tiles to hold them in place. Its not even just aesthetic, the absence of that object makes it look like the tiles were just placed above the bermudas..
