Two Storey Villa (Day, Sunset & Night Scene) Edited w/ AO increase

Post by andro111985 on Wed Aug 25, 2010 7:59 pm

Share ko lang po another practice work ko. Since wala po kami masyado gawa ngayon sa office ito ginawa kong pampalipas oras. Please lend some of your precious time to leave some comments so that I can improve my rendering skills..
This is a villa in Saudi where entrance of men & women are separated.

Done in 3d max 2009 + vray 1.5 sp4 + PS for putting BG and some color correction..

Note: LC & IR are all precomputed before final rendering to reduce the time of render.

All final render settings:

IR set to VERY HIGH
LC set to 2000
Noise 0.001 for night and 0.003 for the rest of the images.

Here are the images..

Well-modelled I should say... Clean renders... Day scene is just right, although a bit stiff for me... Good gardening skills...
Not too comfy with the late afternoon shots; post process lang ba?... For the night scene, I'd get rid of the stars and turn the lights on inside; ies look too sharp...
Mixed feelings with the design; but that's subjective...
Still, for all that work you put into it, I'd say you did very well...

thanks po master cloud at nagustuhan nyo po..
thanks din po sa mga comments nyo sir. everytime you drop a comment on my works i've learned new things. thanks for guiding us and please continue to guide us specially the newbies like me.
pasensya na po about dun sa ies akala ko ok na, medyo madilim yata kasi monitor ko sa office.
about naman po sa late afternoon shots yes sir it's only in PS i just used color balance to create some moods I've tried to experiment some vray settings for late afternoon shots but i failed kaya sa PS ko na lang po ginawa..
thanks again master..

Great bro Andro111985,
Laki na ng improvement mo bro at ang bilis ng renderings.
Tamang- tama ang templa.
IMHO:
-I am doubt with the design specially the windows openings.
Masyadong see through kung walang curtains.
- I work before in an consulting & engineering firm at never pa kami nagproposed ng ganyang klaseng design, kung meron man maraming revison pagpasa for temporary building permit sa municipality.

By the way I'm in an holy place maaaring may deperensya ang building regulation dito kaysa sa ibang lugar ng saudi. Or maybe its implemented nationwide.

- At sa entrance you're right.

But yes this is modern at mahirap kung halos cover lahat ang structures.
Masyadong limited ang design ideas pagganun.

Nice practice & I love it.

Regards.

thanks sa pagdaan sir.. actually the same process lang sa mga previous post ko ito sir.. aside from proxies i displayed in box preview lahat nung mga object na mabibigat.. and i think hindi rin naman makaka-apekto sa rendering time yun only in viewport navigation. what makes my render fast is as i mentioned earlier i precomputed the light cache and IR using test render settings and then i saved it.. and for final render settings i used that precomputed LC and IR to lessen my rendering time.. hope it helps thanks again for viewing..

thanks sir rangalua sa pagsilip nyo..
you're right about the baladia regulations here in saudi sir sobrang higpit nga nila. pero meron yang curtain sir, but I intended to opened it kaya nasa gilid lang ng window yung mga curtain para makita yung loob from outside.. and yung location ng lot is subdivision.. actually yung floor plan nito is proposal namin sa isang client since hindi kami ng-3-3d sa office so floor plan lang talaga ang nai-submit namin sa client.. at since ramadan wala kami masyadong work i used these floor plan to create some modern design disregarding the baladia regulations... tama ka sir medyo mahirap gumawa ng modern designs with small window openings.. thanks again sir..
