High End Specs?

Post by jdbuncher on Sat Aug 28, 2010 7:08 am

Masters! balak kong mag assemble ng PC for video editing, 3d modeling, rendering, (at konting latest games na rin hehe)...
Siguro 80k to 100k ang budget ko dito...

Ito yung balak kong specs:
- Intel Core i7 930 (2.80GHz)
- Corsair Dominator 2GB DDR3 1600MHZ x 4pcs = 8GB all
- Asus P6T Deluxe (Intel X58)
- Corsair Power Supply 750 watts - pwede na ba to?
- Seagate 1TRA 7200-RPM (Serial ATA300)
- Cooler Master HAF 932 Case
- Windows 7 Ultimate

-Sa VGA nag iisip pa ako kung:
ATI Radeon HD 5970 (1GB) 256Bit DDR5 or

Maraming Salamat! Very Happy

>sa laki ng budget mo, instead of 8gb ram,go for 12 gb na.. 2-3x2 gb ram..
>power supply, check mo..for your purpose baka dadating ung time na mag SLI ka or crossfire..baka magkukulang ang power supply..
>like sir boks said, no need for overclocking din for me..
>cooling system, go for thermaltake or water cooler..
personal opinion..

Hi there.

Choose Quadro Fx cards. They are built to utilize GPU processing power, What does that mean? It uses the video card in your computer to render photorealistic results fast thus saving you the guesswork and longer rendering times. nagtutulungan yung GPU at CPU mo. yun nga lang mahal. Sa 100k na budget pasok na yun.

If you are going to use 3DS MAX:
The developers at 3DS Max and NVidia created 3Ds MAX Performance Drivers specifically for the Quadro FX line. I'm sure they have a perfectly good reason for this collaboration.

You can click on this link to learn more- http://www.nvidia.com/object/maxtreme_workstation.html.

I use my machine heavily for 3D modeling/texturing and animation.
I opted for the Palit GTX 260 216sp because Quadro FX cards are hard to find in Manila.
So far, I couldn't find a workaround to utilize GPU rendering support in MAX using this card. Graphics hardware acceleration in Adobe CS4 is turned off when using regular videocards. Sayang di ba?

I hope someone out there could tell me otherwise.

However, if you decide to buy regular gaming cards, there is a software that utilizes GPU processing power- kahit Hindi Quadro Fx ang card mo, still in its beta stages- The octane render. Looks really promising. Click this link below:

I think sli setup will only be good for games at this point and not for serious 3D modeling/animation.

I hope you find this helpful.
