how to import cad to 3d max?

mga sir bakit po pag nagiimport po ako sa max eh puro gray po yung kulay ng building ko.newbie lang kasi mga sir,student pa lang.hehe..parang ganto po..gusto ko po sana yung kasama lahat pati po kulay..salamat po sa inyo

natural lang po yan sir... automatic nagiging gray ang cad imported models sa max...

There is a way; but first I'd like to ask, why do you want the layer colors to follow suit in file linking? Mas okay nga nyan one color na kagad lahat, reason being mas okay i-test ang lighting pag ganyan; but of course a color leaning towards white is much better. Besides papatungan mo din naman ng mats yung mga layer colors na yun diba?... Just wonderin'...

- on file link manager, before linking the files, go first to presets, click presets you want to use. (there are only two on the list, one is for revit and the other is for autocad) select Last Used Settings, then click on modify. under Modify, go to Adavance -->> Derive Autocad Primitives by: on the list select Color. save your settings and proceed on the linking process
