PRC Releases 2011 Manila LEA Schedules

The PRC has announced the following dates for the holding of the Licensure Examination for Architects (LEA) in the City of Manila:A. January 2011 Day 1 is Friday, 28 January 2011; and Day 2 is Sunday, 30 January 2011 (for Architectural Design and Site Planning). B. June 2011 Day 1 is Friday, 10 June 2011; and Day 2 is Sunday, 12 June 2011 (for Architectural Design and Site Planning). The PRC submission dates for the LEA applications complete with logbooks for diversified experience in architecture (LDEA) covering a minimum of 3,840 hours (or the equivalent of 2 years) shall be at least one (1) month before the first day of the LEA. For the January 2011 LEA, the deadline for submission of applications with LDEA is 27 December 2010.For first-time LEA-takers, it is best to submit the required documents at least 2 months before the LEA as there could be processing delay/s due to incomplete or wrong documentation or LDEA disapprovals/ non-acceptance by the PRBoA.Great care should be taken by all applicants, especially with the filling up of the LDEA as fraud (if proven by the PRC/ PRBoA) may cause permanent disbarment from the LEA, or in the case of a successful examinee, the suspension or revocation of the license to practice and of the Architect's Certificate.
