HELP! Sudden shutdown ng pc

Post by owenski on Wed Dec 08, 2010 2:22 am

First topic message reminder :

Hi,

Good morning cgpipz!!!

Hihingi lang sana advice, i've been using my pc for 2 months now and recently lang nangyayari na nagsusudden shutdown sya without any errors or notifications.

Here's my specs:
Proc. Intel core i7 950
Mobo. EVGA x58 sli le
HD. 1tb WD caviar green
RAM. 3x2gb G.skill ripjaws
vcard. Palit 450gts 1tb
Psu. Silverstone Strider 650W
Cpu fan. CM V6GT
Case fan. 2 aerocool 120mm (intake)
2 tricool antec fan (120mm and 140mm kasama sa case for exhaust)
Case. ANtec 300

I've been dealing with the it for 2 days now and i can't find any clue kung bakit nagshushutdown sya then restart.

(1)Dati naglalast pa sya for around 3-10min before nagshushutdown. Madalas once nagload na ako ng laro (assasin's creed), and pag work mode na ako. i dont think loaded sya masyado since i do work and games separately and i always check my temps thru e-fleet and kung tama pagkakaalala ko around 35 temperature ng CPU, 48 sa vreg and 34 sa system (idle) and 40-55-38 pag pag medyo loaded although sa tingin ko naman normal pa naman sya.

first step i've made.
Baka virus or anything since it all started the day i borrowed a flash drive from someone, since wala akong matinong anti virus and walang internet sa bahay, nagreformat ako, nagboot naman sya nang maayos and somehow finished the windows installation. Kaso, when i was about to install the drivers for the board etc etc, sudden shutdown nanaman (nakigamit nga pala akong ng ibang dvd-drive since nagmamalfunction yung sakin)

second step.
Check ng parts kung may sunog or anything. Since ayaw kong bulatlatin yung pc, tinanggal ko lang ram and vcard, then checked, wala namang kakaiba so i put it back. removed the dvd-drive (baka kako ito yung may problema). inON ko yung pc and somehow umabot sya sa windows, siguro mga 3min na akong nagnanavigate sa files ko then shutdown uli.

(2) this time, umiikli ang yung lifespan ng pagboot nung pc then shutdown uli, autorestart uli, nagshorten uli yung oras, then auto restart uli. Getting frustated, i turn my UPS off, dismantle my pc, cleaned everything i can possibly clean at the moment. Hindi naman sya maalikabok. Check the wires and reconnected it, checked the fans, cpu, etc etc, ok naman.

reboot ko uli, this time hanggang welcome screen na lang ng windows umabot. then shutdown, i somehow sneaked into BIOS setup, checked my temps, kung tama uli memorya ko,
34 degrees CPU
55 NB
40 Vreg
34 System
Normal naman sya sa tingin ko so reboot ko uli, this time things got worst, bukod sa umiikli ang span between boot start and shutdown, sa huli ayaw na magrestart. i tried pressing the power button pero no response at all. ang ginawa ko, Off/On and UPS, press the power button, nagboot! kaso same thing. Did the same process, sneaked into BIOS, try loading optimal defaults, ganun parin....

this time, suko na ako and decided to ask for help, hehe 4am na kasi trabaho pa ako.

question!

TULONG!!!
TULONG!!!
TULONG!!!
TULONG!!!

please.... peace man

does your PSU Silverstone Strider 650W is TRUE RATED? you got a high specs there.. try removing and using your PSU in other high specs of CPU. if still keeps on restarting or shutting down, it will be your PSU lacks of wattage.

also, if you want to format your CPU, do not format it, just select the REPAIR option in the format boot-up, but i dont think that it will be the cause.

if the CPU restarts during boot-up, maybe your OS has a problem,, pero kung sa una palang namamatay / restart na kagad CPU mo at hindi nakarating sa pag BOOT, means one of your hardwares has a problem, either may maluwang or sira talaga.

possible solution: update your anti-virus and  install"malwarebytes" then scan your pc.

Hi Owensky,

I read this thread just now..

My pc specs:

OS: Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit version

ASUS Rampage 3 Extreme X58 DDR3 i7 950
G.Skill Trident DDR3 (6GB)
Asus 460 GTX 1GB DCU
WD 1TB & Samsung 1TB hard disk
PSU Cooler Master 1000 watts

These are the codes na lumalabas sa Blue screen: 0x00000116 / nvlddmkm.sys

All these codes will only lead you to video card problems with NVIDIA most commonly on 400/500 series (which in my case I bought 460 GTX).

And one of the coolest forums I've read is with this link: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=187419&st=0

NVIDIA didn't deny the issues about their video cards, kaya lang medyu nakakadismaya ang mga sagot nila sa forum nila mismo:
http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=187401

Frustrating lang, kasi I bought this pc recently as a gift for myself,
just a simple token para sa subsubang pagta-trabaho nang napakaraming
taon.

But with this bad experience I had, baka I will go with ATI muna.

But still, if someone out there already found a solution about this problem of ours... Please, oh please help us Sad

check your ATI Video card temperature kung nagooverheat at hindi gumagana ang fan..this might be the culprit
