Hi bicolano, Dual six core xeon has 24 buckets in vray twice as much as i7-980.

correct.

1 pc. Xeon 6 cores = 12 threads = 12 buckets in Vray

2 pcs. Xeon 12 cores = 24 Threads = 24 buckets in Vray

kasi yung i7 ko mag 2yrs old na.

Its worth it naman if you have continuos projects, and would need to finish them asap. The guys using this setup need to be fast and productive.

I would suggest to wait for the sandy bridge version, its coming out later this year. Ipon muna. it will be a 32 bucket monster with dual 8 core xeons
