build a home workstation

Hi mga master, gusto ko mag buo ng workstation kaso wala naman ako masyado alam sa pc kaya sana patulong sa specs na needed pra makabuo ng mabilis na workstation lalo na yung mga taga SG at kung saan sana ok mgpabuo ng pc dito? Gagamitin ko tong pc nato pra sa 3dmax. pati ito magiging budget ko sa pc 4500sgd convert sa peso 153,900php. Canvasing plang & iniipon pa tong perang to. hehe salamat sa tulong!

ito pala yung naisip ko na specs paki check nalang kung approve, kaso medyo mahal na ata to.

motherboard: EVGA Classified sr2
Video card: Ati Fire pro V8800
CPU Prossesor: 2 intel Xeon 5640 westmere 2.66ghz quadcore
CPU Cooler: Thermaltake frio Overclocking ready
Memory: Corsair Dominator 24Gb
Power Supply: Corsair prof. series AX1200 1200W ATX12V v2.31
Hard disk: Corsair force cssd F240GB2-BRKT 2.5" 240GB SATA II MLC INTERNAL SOLID STATE DRIVE (SSD)
PC case: Not sure.

bigat nitong rig na to... super! as far as i know, iilan palang ang cases na pepwede sa sr2, di ko lang sir matandaan kung saan ko nabasa, peace man

Hi, This is my suggestion, If you are not a pc expert its difficult to setup a dual processor unit. its a lot of headache. I would suggest you get the macpro dual 6 core unit. Its faster than dual quad, you get mac and you can install windows. you will also get 1 year parts and labor warranty option to extend it up to 3 years.

If budget is a concern, Its best to go with an OCd i980x, its easier to setup, it will be very fast at 4.0ghz up, even faster than dual quads. And its easier to sell when you want to upgrade to a new pc.

Hi, ang pagkakaalam sa motherboard nato is intel xeon 5600 series lang ang pwede. thanks po.

salamat po! about sa macpro 12cores b un, masydo bigat na sobra sa bulsa, 7000+ sgd d2 & about sa i980x, pano ko po malalaman kung gaano kabilis tatakbo sya sa rendering ng 3dmax? : )

Yes, The Mac Pro is 12core 24threads Laughing , on i980x You can send me your max file, I can render and give you the render time

You can also get a Refurbished Mac Pro 2.26GHz 8-Core (16 Threads)Intel Xeon for S$ 4,388.00. Check on Sing apple site, under store refurbished Mac.

hmmm. pro prefer nio sir yung mac pro 12core? maybe you can give me some of your rendered drawings then indicate nio nalang po kung ilang oras or minutes nio natapos yung render.. salamt sir!!
