here's how to:

1. make a half circle and by doing that you need to make a line then draw an arc depending on the radius that you want.


2. notice the arc profile medyo segmented pa. tick on the arc and right click then entity info, by default 12 segments ang arc now increase the value say 60.


3. now masrefine na yung arc


4. next is to make a circle and repeat steps 1&2.


5. then delete the face of the circle leaving only the outline


6. use follow me tool


7. then simply drag and rotate following the circular path, tapos delete mo nalang yung arc profile


8. finish product.

sir sinubukan ko na po kanina pero pag nirender ko hindi pa rin sya smooth

sir taasan mo yung segments mo baka mababa naman possible kasi eh

yung semi circle na irerevolve mo at yung circular path ay pareho mong taasan ang value ng segments, say 50-80 para smooth lahat.

actually you could go beyond 60 segments till you get the desired result. yun nga lang tataas din siyempre yung polygon count.
or other possible reason might be sa settings ng vray mo.

haven't tried applying textures on spheres though since i only use sketchup for modeling, for sure meron makakatulong sa queries mo like sir nomer. try some other resources din gaya nito, i just googled it sana makatulong http://sketchup.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=94883

idownload mo yung ruby script na UV tools (search in google), me options yun na sphere at cylinder options sa pag correct ng mapping ng materials.
