Macbook Pro 17 2011 Vs Alienware 17x R3 3d Laptop

Hi Guys, I need some suggestions and comments. If budget is not an issue, which one would you prefer?

A Sexy slim Macbook Pro 17 2011 Vs a Beast Alienware 17x R3 3d Laptop.

They have the same speed, similar prices. Macbook pro is more portable, Alienware has 3d, bluray capabilities but almost 2 times heavier.

Any thoughts?

If you're doing movies ang graphic arts, I'd go for the macbook. Pro pag 3d, alienware na. mac's still slow with windows and drains faster. I'm not sure lang if they'd fixed this problem. Enjoy your future awesome gadget bro!

i'll go for Mac.,

@sir hotrod: if you are looking for a portable laptop, i'll go for macbook pro.
but still, i'll definitely go for Alienware M17x R3, where im using mostly windows based softwares (games;2d/3d softwares), it may not be a portable laptop, but its the best portable desktop around, Nvidia 3D vision for the win!!

Thanks sa mga advice, I have pulled the trigger on the macbook pro 17. I saw the alienware 17x in person, It was too big for me.

I have both alienware m17x and m18x.. i also have macbook pro but i only use macbook for school purposes while i use alienware for gaming purposes..

if i were you i'd buy alienware... it has the best processor and great graphics

plus virus free.

I think there's no such thing as Virus Free ... it's all in the user if he/she allow's any program to enter into its operating system the safest.
if you search on google you will find a lots of malwares, trojans infections built for mac.


Again it depends on what program you need either games, application, etc. if you can run them smoothly on mac go for it otherwise if it's only emulated , go for the ibm-compatibles where you can install windows, linux android and other supporting OS.
