The Nissan GT-R is a sports car produced by Nissan released in Japan on December 6, 2007, the United States on July 4, 2008, and the rest of the world in March 2009.

Between 1969 and 1974, and again between 1989 and 2002, Nissan produced a high performance version of its Skyline range called the Nissan Skyline GT-R. This car proved to be iconic for Nissan and achieved much fame and success on road and track. The Nissan GT-R, although no longer carrying the "Skyline" badge, has heritage in the Nissan Skyline GT-R. Like the Skyline GT-Rs R32 through R34, the Nissan GT-R is all-wheel drive with a twin-turbo 6 cylinder engine; however, the evolutionary, incremental changes between Skyline models R32 through R34 have been done away with. The four-wheel-steering HICAS system has been removed, and the former straight-6 RB26DETT engine has been replaced with a new V6 VR38DETT. Because of the GT-R's heritage, the chassis code for the all-new version has been called CBA-R35,[9] or 'R35' for short (where CBA is the prefix for emission standard), carrying on the naming trend from previous Skyline GT-R generations. The GT-R has also retained its Skyline predecessor's nickname Godzilla.

Wow! Nice naman ng gawa! Dream cars ko tong GT-Rs especially BNR32, 34, and CBAR35. BCNR33 medyo least achiever kaya least popular among the GT-R brothers. hehe. Most successful by far was BNR32 I think.

Here are some bit of GT-R power trivia I want to share with you guys. 8)

- Recorded 50 official race wins w/ 49 consecutive wins by KPGC10 GT-R aka "Hakosuka" from 1968-72.

- Recorded 29 consecutive official race wins by the BNR32 GT-R in JTCC Group A, winning the championship from 1989-93.
* The dominance of the GT-R led to several rule changes of Japanese GT series

- Dominated the 91 and 92 Bathurst race in Australia, depsite having a huge 100 kg weight handicap and going up against more powerful V8 supercars. The GT-R BNR32 was then called "Godzilla" by foreigners for its gnarly performance on track. Thus that "aka" was used thru out all the GT-R bros.

- Some Other GT-R international championships include, 1991 and 92 Australian Touring Car Championship, 1991 Australian Australian Endurance Championship, 1991 Australian Manufacuturer's Championship, 1992 Spanish Touring Car Championship, 1995 and 96 U.K National Saloon Car Cup by Andy Middlehurst, etc.

- Recorded 50 wins from 50 starts in N1 Super Taikyu 1991-97. 91-95 by BNR32, 96-97 by BCNR33

- Pikes Peak International Hillclimb open class champ, 1993, 96, and 98.

- Fastest AWD Record Holder by New Zealander Reece Mcgregor and his RB26DET (single turbo) powered GT-R BNR32 w/ a 7.57 sec. at 306 km/hr. Previous Record holder was another GT-R! (HKS drag GT-R).

- Best ever race car in Japanese touring race car history (depsite always having huge weight handicap) w/ 12 champioships all in all. Made by the GTR bros. BNR32, BCNR33, BNR34, and CBAR35. W/ Nissan being the winningest manufacturer as well, together w/ their other cars like Silvia, Non GT-R Skylines, and Z.

- Lap time records around the world from Nurburgring, Tsukuba, etc.

- 2007 Revspeed Super Lap Battle winner. 9 of the top fifteen are all GT-Rs! 4 BNR32, 3 BNR34, 2 BCNR33. W/ M Speed GT-R34 beinng the fastest.

- Fastest 0-300 km/h record, TOTB GT-R BNR32 w/ 12.47 sec. Previous record holder is Veilside GT-R32 w/ 13.72 sec.

- Japan originated group RH9, record holder 9 sec. "STREET" GT-R. Group of GT-Rs (now around the world) that's on legit street trim, full interior, street tires, w/ a/c, etc. that runs 9 sec. on quarter mile!

- Fastest recorded street car from 60-130 mph or 96.6 to 209 kph w/ AMS Alpha 12 GT-R CBAR35

Before when I was playing Gran Turismo I was wondering why this car is so special... Now I know. No other performance / sports car has touched some of these records and feats to date. Nuff said.

Correct! I would like to see the Z blood line too starting from the "Devil Z". hehe. And as for the GT-R bros., from Hakosuka onwards.

By the way sir RQUI, if your looking for a Skyline sana GT-R na, it might be a bit pricey but it is the real deal, twin turbo, king of RBs- RB26, AWD, aluminum body parts, wide @ss fenders, potential is limitless! Medyo magastos maintain but worth it! Yung iba kasi basta alam skyline kala same na silang lahat dun sa iconic GT-R car. Sa DMF kasi puro standard Skylines dance lang, GTS, GT-T, etc. Some even made to look like a GT-R aka "poser" IMHO. I remember meeting someone before claiming he has a GT-R BNR34 yun pala GTT HCR34 lang, nawawal FMIC (front mount i.c), thin fenders,... medyo nauto ako before kasi newbie pa, disappointed nga ako kasi bakit di ganun yung tindig na expect ko since seeing them in magazines, pix with aggressive stance with wide tires, etc. He has used GT-R like front bumpers (nawawala nga lang GT-R chin), with matching fake GT-R badge also at the trunk. What a poser... and di lang siya nagiisa. hehe. Most drift cars also actually use GT-R look bumps, umay na. And oh don't forget to check the conversion if it is well done, meron dati port irene (nowadays madalang because medyo strict rules na dun on taxing sportscars) pero some are laspag and poor conversion. And it will cost you an arm and a leg to restore the car to fighting form, kamahalan pa naman piyesa ng GT-Rs.
