Android Smartphones

I've just recently moved on to using smartphones after years of regular celphone use. And I say that the move was quite a pain (brainfart all the time!). So what's your best Android app?

I rooted my phone:
Rooted apps:
Titanium Backup - a must if you flash ROMS, it could force apps to move to SD, Freeze the the apps and lots more.
Rom Manager - for flashing custom ROMS (my phone is on CM7 Gingerbread 2.3.4)
Autokiller Memory - the best memory Optimizer and its fully cutomizable
Ad Free - hides the ads on free apps
Cache Mate
Quick Boot

Here are my fave Regular Apps:
Photo Tools - It's a good photography helper
Pic Say Pro - In phone photo editing
Sygic Aura - I think it's the best GPS for android, you don't need a network (inet) to use it. (They have Metro Manila Map too)
SPV TV - free TV, love the cycling network
Dolphin HD - inet browser
Kindle - Reading books
Expense Manager - budget
Real Calc - Scientific Calculator
Autodesk Sketchbook Mobile
AutoCAD - Im not using it, i just have it in case i need it
Launcher Pro - fave launcher!

Fun Apps:
Google Sky MAp - pang show-off wala yata apple neto!
Barcode Scanner - use your phone as a bar code scanner, namamangha rin yung di pa alam ito.
Solo Guitar
Shazam
Live wallpapers! (wala din iphone neto)

Games:
I have all of the gameloft titles
My kids loves Angry Birds
World Series of mahjong!

And be sure to download the latest Adobe Flash Player for your phone, wala din iphone neto.
You can watch movies online.

I suggest Advanced Task Killer, with this application, you can sellect and turn off current running applications on your phone to save battery, another one is Convert Pad, I use this to covert measurements, etc,

meron din akong Barcode scanner - pwede mo rin gamitin ito for installing Apps, search mo lang sa net yung barcode nung app na gusto mong iinstall sa phone mo, then scan it, tapos automatic na siya na pupunta sa site nung app where you can download it, it saves time because you dont have to go to Android market anymore and search for the app you want

Tanong lang ako, although, wala talaga akong budget para dito. Just incase, may mahulog na salapi sa harapan ko.

But seriously...wala akong alam dito...i am so low tech when it comes to phones...so, which brands and models are recommended?

sir try the samsung galaxys2 dual core phone 8MP camera....though di lang talaga ok sa battery the rest is ok na. or better check this site comparisons of android smartphones= cnet.com

If you could give more details of what or which part you're having difficulty. Is it the operation of the phone? Or how you intend to use the phone? Or talagang naninibagao lang?

I see that I have google pre-installed, Skype and bunch others..
I'm looking for a pen input device and a simple memo pad for quick sketches and note taking.

I'm still not used to the input device.
But since I can check my emails and do simple computer tasks with the Galaxy, I realized that I may no longer need to lug a laptop whenever I travel maliban na lang if I have to do CG on the road.

V_wrangler : Desire S Whatsapp is parang chat . basta. pag ang friend mo naka whatsapp. libre na text and mms. (im on 12g data plan kaya online lagi). pero kung wala silang data plan and not always online, you can use CHIKKA, pang text lang sa pinas. dati web based lang ang chikka, para nga naman libre mag text.

Whey : yes free lahat.. try mo Android Booster, mey file manager para ma-erase mo unwanted files sa sd card manually. and it saves your battery life better.

my phone also have pre-installed facebook, twitter and plurk (which i do not use)
i hate MiCoarch! never give me visual of gps map.
im sticking to iMapMyRun, para live feed and gps map.

my Angry Birds are all free. free ata sa android. but Whatsapp, limited time lang, until 2012 lang ata.
