Cok3s Zbrush Sketches and wips

Post by cok3 on Sat Jan 17, 2009 12:08 am

First topic message reminder :

just though I'd start another sketchbook for my zbrush sculpts.

Thought I'd post a few just to start things up

Random sculpt from sphere, no ref just to test myself... I really need to do more lifedrawing and research

a sculpt I did while following a video tutorial by nick zuccarello, ended up straying off from the tutorial and sculpting a cartoon character from one of my favorite cartoons when I was a kid

a concept sculpt that I did, just to add to my application to lucasanimation which has yet to be sent due to my fear of rejection....

more to come soon. hope this keeps me motivated to keep sculpting and playing with this cool program

Impressive as ever bro. I like ur version of piccolo. How long did it take you to finish this sculpt? Including the texturing? Did you use HD geometry for the details?

draftbeer80 - no Hd geometry used for this one. just polypainting and sculpting in zbrush, its really not very detailed if you look closely so theres no need for HD.

Thanks for the comments guys. Haven't been active in a while. Heres a new sculpt done in mudbox. Recently made a switch from zbrush as the multiple painting layers makes concepting in 3d easier. the new zspheres2 in zbrush 3.5 makes it tempting again though.
