that 70-100sgd was based on bus fair.. depende pa kung malayo yun napasukan mo sa nakuha mong rented room.

mine mga 50-70 lang.. pag mey mga lakwatsa nagiging 80++.. our EZ link can pay Mcdo , 711 and some supermarket kaya pag nag grocery yun na ginagamit ko..

mey taxi dito.. yun iba ang flag down is 2.80sgd, some is 3.00sgd , meron din 3.20 at ang pinaka nakaka iyak sa lahat yun 5.00sgd pagsakay mo pa lang..
20cents every 300m ata. Very Happy

ED, if you are applying for the EPEC and your school wasn't in the list, automatic denied yun agad. but it still depends sa MOM if ever makakuha ka ng offer dito.. di naman porket natanggap ka na sa isang company ay pwede ka na mag work dito. Application for a work pass will take about weeks or months.. (yun friend ko na nirecruit ko, his application was rejected the first time then we appealed .. then after almost 3months approved na).. yes he went back there kasi di na sya pwede magpa extend (one month extension na lang ngayon) .. so the problem now is IF he can get out of Philippines.. alam nyo naman na ang bongga ng restrictions na ngayon sa immigration dyan sa atin.

the ratio of locals to FT are also an issue.. and also yun nature ng business. at kung malaki yun company.

based on my experience.

PUB(Elect,water bill) - 30
Pamasahe - 50-100
Pagkain - 200-300
Misc needs -50(sabon, toothpaste, shampoo, etc)
Internet & Phone Bills- 50

Kayo na bahala mag total... Wink

$2500 ok na for a start. Good luck and God Bless!

still, it depends on Ministry of Manpower kung bibigyan ka pa rin nila ng new work pass... times are bad these days..

In that way kasi kung point by point mas madali maintindihan nang kapwa nating pinoy. Smile

thanks cos, if you think it is legal and to some of us think it isn't, best to be safe and wag na lang pagusapan, would you agree? as an employee it is your discretion. but as an employer it does not give a good impression dun sa employee na gumagawa nito, dahil fundamentally di niya nirerespeto ang current employer. hope this is clear.

Your starting salary for singapore would be 2.2k to 2.5k probationary for a few months. After that you should negotiate your rate. My friend makes more than 7k but he's now a citizen after 5 years there which is a big factor to get higher rate. Bought a car, an apartment(not HDB). The secret is being a good negotiator. Artists tend to be poor negotiators and businessmen. This is first and foremost a business afterall to make profit for the company. So the money should go both ways. Smile

I suggest go to HK and find a job.... a good starting point is www.hkia.net or classifiedpost.com . HK pay range is way better than SG but you nned to wait for 7 years para maging PR. Anyway 10% lang tax but the housing is freaking high.
