First topic message reminder :

I've been thinking of getting a macbook pro. My current laptop is quite heavy at 2.6kgs, while a core i5 macbook pro, just weights in at about 2.04kgs.

Some questions:

1. Has anyone ever tried running windows based apps such as 3ds max and autocad on a mac via windows running via boot camp?

2. If yes, how is the performance of the machine while running aforementioned applications.

Your insight or opinion, will be of great help to me.

Actually, yan ang comments sa pinoydvd.com, hindi daw okay ang after sales service ng sony dito sa pilipinas. kaya, nag aalangan akong mag sony. If weight is the issue, okay na ako sa acer. I'll probably use it more for recording logistics and stuffs, minor cad works. Baka sketchup na din install ko for doing space studies.

Ok sana yung msi, kaya lang, it's still at 2kgs....kung naging 1.7 lang sana. kahit di na nila nilagyan ng dvd-rom drive, i seldom used that on my old laptop anyway.

Meron din toshiba portege 830. Kaya lang 72k pesos, at wala pang dedicated graphics card yun. Pero, 1.4kgs lang siya.

I might settle with acer, unless, i see and check out the new asus ux31. Not yet sure how much this one costs though.

first choice ko kasi talaga yung sony. Yung msi is a solid product din, yun kasi yung dati kong gamit. Still hoping to find out if the asus ux31 is already on sale here.

just bought my macbook pro 2011 edition 15" two weeks ago... so far ok naman...i like the interface.. 1st time using mac os... if u want to use your macbook as windows --- you can use "parallels destop 7 for mac" (SIMULTANEOUS mo magagamit ang mac os at windows...side by side... no need rebooting).... just to add madaling uminit ang macbook kung gagamitin mo sa games other applications normal lang temperature niya..
