Ano gamit mong PC? Maganda ang idea mo. Nakakawork ka pa habang nagrerender. Actually pwede ding same PC. Pero kung may budget ka, higher specs.

Or pagpalit mo, mas malakas ang gagamitin mo.

heres my pc specs:
cpu - i7 3.33 ghz
ram - 24 gb
videocard - nvidia quadro 2000 1 gb
os -windows 7 64 bit

yun nga problem ko sir bokkins pag ngrender na di ko na magamit another instance of max ( sluggish na).. cpu intensive kasi pag rendering na.. so option ko is another "render server" para i can still do some max modeling sa ibang projects lalo pag rush ones then ung "render server" sa rendering...

Overkill ang pc mo ah. Kahit magmulti-task ka dyan magaan pa din. Not unless development ang nirerender mo. Yup same pc or lower specs pero dalawa. Whatchathink?

For rendering machines, you do not need expensive graphics card cause they do not matter at all.

Rendering servers will find their value based on the CPU
and the amount of ram.

bro suggestion ko when working in 3d max. i cant use 3 3d max at the same time. ang ginagawa ko.

- right click task bar
- choose start task manager
- under processes tab choose 3d max
- right click choose affinity
- tapos lalabas yung number ng core mo
- uncheck 1 or two cores para di magamit ng max yun
- then click ok

Good luck

Ok na yung Pc mo dude.

Para lang makapagrender ka at modeling at the same time, punta ka lang sa task manager, process, tapos very low mo yung priority ng max na nagrerender that way hindi na sluggish yung another max mo for modeling.

ok na yang PC mo bro, Quadro Prof Video card & 24gb Ram.

my advice is try to lower the bucket region render, like 32, or change the value Face/Level coef from 1 to 2, less value means high ram usage faster render..

sir di ako si dude verts, but if you look i7 sandy bridge look for i7 2600k..yung may k, unlocked version kasi ito mas magandang pang overclock..clockspeed is really a big help in rendering..

Torvics,

For renderign servers I've maintained 10 of those i5s 8 to 24GB ram and no probs at all.
