Help - Vray Light/Shadows Problem.

When the Sun light hits the floor, it's edges are very strange as you can see on the picture!

you can increase your sun's size to soften up the shadows Smile

Follow sir cloud20's advice. What version of vray are you using? It happens alot if you are using a beta version of vray even you turn on the subpixel color mapping

It could also be that your sun is very strong. What you can do is lessen your suns intensity and add rectangular vraylights just outside the window. size should be less than the openings to have a good spread of light inside.

Hey, Thanks for you answers. But even if I hit the "subpixel maping" I still cant fix it... :/

I'm Useing Vray 2.00.02 for 3ds max and its not a beta version.

but it hasnt any reflection the floor... its just a simple material!

Try to lower the burn value on your color mapping to .4.

in sketchup vray and i guess its the same in vray max, i will increase the shadow subdivision of the sun.
