street vendor

Hi po cgp's!

post ko lang lang tong artwork ko I made few months ago. not my style pero I just gave a shot in story telling illustration. this is made for a challenge themed street vendor, was still fortunate to grab the 4th place for that monthly challenge at Gnomon workshop.

this is how far my idea went, gave a sat and sunday to create this just in time for the deadline.



edit: added the procedure



1. always start with greyscale. easier to paint without worrying about the colors
2. add new layer set to color and splash initial colors then merge layers
3. add another layer and set to softlight and add new vibrant colours then merge layers



4. color correct using curves and adjust everything even brightness contrast
5. refine painting and just color pick from the colors overlayed allover including the surrounding colours to create harmony



6. add new layer and set to overlay then add dirt and textures all over. this adds volume.
7. finishing touches and polish painting.

leeeeeee - salamat din! di naman gaano mabusisi, medyo matrabaho lang. 2 days ko ginawa ito sat and sun from concept to final hinabol ko lang sa deadline. pero normally 3-4 days ko dapat ginagawa.

wow thanks mr jeff.. now malinaw na sakin ung ibang bagay na umaalialigid sa aking pag-iisip about cg painting.. possible pala na magstart sa grayscale tapos add ng color layer.. kasi madalas kong nakikita sa mga works ng Udon artists ung grayscale nila.. galeng sir!!
