CARPET Tutorial (Vray for Sketchup)

good day cg peeps.. share ko naman sa inyo kung pano gumawa ng carpet...

1.insert a pillow from this link click me



2. stretch those four edges for a carpet look



3. and then stretch down the height approximately 10mm high



4. apply your favorite carpet diffuse material (texture position as your preference scale)

5. open the material editor, look for the linked carpet material and check bump and displacement



6. bump settings (multiplier = 0.6)

7. open the render options change the settings as per image shown (these settings where the real carpet will occur, the value 2 for the edge length (pix) should be the thickness of your carpet strands, the value 0.8 for the amount will be the length of carpet strands)



8. i made a room for this tutorial



9. and apply floor and wall material (interior lighting were set-up already at this point)



10. inserted some components



11. finished product

Bro. ayuz ang technique grabe bago lang ako pero dami kona kgad natutunan, marami salamat sa tutorials nyo di pako nagpopost pero lalo ako na iinspire sa mga magagaling na tulad nyo!

its a very helpful tip... thanx... but does that mean that all the bump and displacement of all the materials you put in the model will have the same thickness and length when you render it?

pareng erick, galing mo na bait mo pa.. d ko p natry tong ganito buti nlng anjan k.hehe. ganito lng pala, laging panget ung carpet ko e.hehe. merong k p bng ibang tutorials jan?hehe
nga pala, pano b ung pgapply ng materials sa mga curved na faces? db kc naccra ung material, pano b dapat gawin? tnx in advance bro.

Sir Tanung lang po kung mamarapatin,,,Bakit Po ba kailangan pilow pa ang Gamitin???kailangan ba talagang pilow yun?diba pade kung minodel mo na galing sa rectangle,push pull tool,then apply material???is there something special sa pag gamit ng pillow?tanung lang po kasi ende parin ako maka gawa ng matinong carpet,,,

wow galing nmn,,,,btw newbie po ako dto,,, at na try ko gumwa ng carpet kaso gamit go bump ng grass pati na displacement sa grass din...ok lng po ba un,,? ty
