CGP Community Project : JOIN NOW!

Hi to all,

This will be the official CGP community project announcement board for updates and list of works to be done. I purposelly placed it here since most of the community check this page more often than the others. This post will also be edited and updated as the Project progresses.

As a recap, this project is non-profit so don't expect to get paid. We will all be doing this for the love of the art and as a showcase on what Filipino talent can achieve.
All CGPINOY members are welcome to join and the project has no deadline. You can work at your own pace and every contribution will be credited no matter how small your contribution may be.

As of the moment the project has finished deciding for the theme. The theme would be:
WWII - Re-imagined with the working title : CODENAME CGP

So we are in the CONCEPT stage now and we need all your ideas as much as possible. So calling all 2D artist out there, here are the things we need for the moment.

1. Design of a Semi 2nd world war yet medyo modern CGP plane
2. Design for an enemy plane
3. Environment design / set design (open to any ideas)
4. Storyboard
5. HUD design

You are free to think and imagine all of these. You can give us 1 or more designs, its all up to you.

After this stage would be the modelling and texturing, wherein we will need more talented Pinoys to lend a hand.

Here is a list of spots you might be interested in.

4. Mattepainters
5. Concept artist
6. FX TDs or Dynamics and FX artist
7. Compositors
9. Motion graphics artist for Opening billboards and Closing credits.

though mushroom is tied up with deadlines we can commit to having a few of our renderfarms used to cover the rendering process. we work on max 2008 exclusively though.

I can help in the modeling of some of the arch'l sets.

We just need parameters, like, how detailed should it be, and will it be stylized or modeled from real world structures.

A good story is needed, May I suggest to include the connection of the NAZI to the occult,

will the story revolve around the war in europe or the one in the pacific.

This is a good idea.

simple story lang solve na tyo. we dont need a very dramatic and elaborate one yet, dadating din tayo dyan.

this is just a suggestion for the plane design. a retro sci-fi concept comes to my mind.. something in line with the movie Sky Captain & the World of Tomorrow or a pc game that I used to play, Crimson Skies.

rockgem : that is awesopme man! I was actually thingking something like that.

If you could think of designs that are something like that BUT not exactlly like that then it would be cool!

Also we are still accepting STORYBOARDS, remember that its for a 30 SECONDS only.
