3d outsourcing.

Post by kumagelo on Mon Mar 02, 2009 5:08 am

First topic message reminder :

hi guys,

my first real post here. I have been reading/viewing here but not really posting.

I'm currently working in Singapore for an interior design firm in the capacity of a 3d renderer(the one and only for this firm). Just recently my boss decided on considering outsourcing animations/walkthroughs to China. So there.. my question is do you guys know anyone from china or probably recommend a good firm from China to where we can outsource these animations? I've seen on another pinoy 3d forum a certain walkthough (which i've lost the link to look back on) which was modeled in China but rendered in dubai.

That said, I think people here (us Pinoys) can do an equal, if not better job, than them (china) not to say much more easier to coordinate with (communication wise). SO if you guys are quite confident post your contacts and portfolios preferably websites or equivalent here (PM would work if you want your details to be confidential). Sample quotations/ Base prices are appreciated i.e how much per second/minute, project coverage (up to post production, video output etc), resolution.. and any other particulars you might want to include. the more detailed the better.

I'm expecting some skepticism here (i would be, should i not be the one posting this) so i'm just saying that the operative words here are *exploring and considering the option*. yours truly can of course work on animations but i think the boss is looking for fast turnaround times. I'm not too fast at that..

on a final note I really would appreciate a fast response and somehow A REAL LIST for chinese contacts (i'm really hoping the guy who posted that animation in the other forum is here also Wink) so as not to appear that I have bias towards my countrymen, which i have actually in this case. More choices the better.

Best,

Elo
