Nomeradona: (WIP) Texture and Lighting Competition (The Altar)

First topic message reminder :

i have been jostling with time to do this, kasi busy talaga sa school. buti na lang at spring break namin ngayon. here is my concept. A vietnamese buddhist altar using Sketchup and vray sketchup as rendering engine.

"In man's heart there is a vacuum who longs to relate with God. Each culture, each religion has different way in filling this vacuum. In vietnam their religion is a mixture of buddhism and ancestral worship and as nation VIetnamese is a religious nation kahit na pa nga Communist sya.

I love to explore this topic, especially with my previous works of combining traditional painting and 3d vizualisation. here is another attempt using this competition.

here is my only lighting ( i called it light box. its hard to achieve a dark effect therefore i have to improvise)
i cut a small hole on this box to disperse the rectangular light inside.

salamat master. may omni light bay duon sa ilalim pataas, tapos meron akong improvised lighting sa taas baga fill light. tapos kaunting mga emmissive lightings.

smoke added by photoshop na bro.

mini tut how to create smoke in PS.
1. use pen tool. draw the smokes on a new layer
2. apply gaussian blur
3. use liquify to stretch smokes
4. play on the opacity
5. add another layer use cloud filter for ambient smokes
6. use mask tool to remove unwanted effect
7. play again on the opacity of this layer
8. merge both layers
9. copy this merge layer and add diffuse glow filter
10. decrease again on the opacity of this layer... Voila

hindi reggie sa photoshop na. yung original sa su at vray sketchup. pero yung smoke effect sa photoshop na lang yun.
