First image, stick is too thin, mukhang mababale. lakihan mo ng konti ang diameter.

These are just my personal opinions based sa hilig ko sa mga games at animation. Keep it up! 2thumbsup

@MonSamuel - salamat sir, 3Dmax9 (base model), Mudbox (Bump, Displacement, Diffuse, and Normal Map), tsaka Vray sir.

Re: Warcraft Inspired Orc

Post by Akira on Wed Apr 01, 2009 3:31 am

pero tip lang sir, if ur going to use this sa portfolio mo try mo munang bawasan ang pagkadense ng mesh mo (too high poly).. Employers (the ones i know) tumitingin sila sa wireframes more than your renders (sa characters ah, im not sure pagdating sa archi).. research ka po tungkol sa Retopology, its like rebuilding your mesh with respect to edgeloops para mas madali sa mga riggers, animators, renderers.. edgeloop is so important sa modeling so try to research more on that too, ito ang magpapangiti ng mga employers and not the renders Smile.. and i think mas better if i-mmaster muna ng artist ang isang skill bago cya magpursige sa ibang aspects ng 3d.. like focusing muna sa modeling, next is texturing.. tamang research lang sa rigging, animation, rendering okay na muna un basta ang main focus mo is modeling..

enjoy lang sir, post more pa po..

@akira, thanks sa comment, actually iknow the rules when modeling, this character was an experiment, if you read my wip thread, this is an experiment or a study of NORMAL map extraction from Max - Mudbox -Max, first attempt ko. and the Mesh has a turbo smooth applied, kaya high poly.

ive done low poly characters too. and ive research about retopology. but thanks anyway for your comments.

@jovanie - there are many approaches in character modeling, like polygonal, subdivisional, spline, or nurbs modeling. depende kung saan ka comfortable.
