Creating Cornice with Bevel Profile Modifier
First topic message reminder :
Hi guys, I've prepared a very simple tutorial on how to create cornices for our interiors and exteriors. The process can also be used in creating picture frames, door and window jambs and other elements that use moldings. This is more powerful than your simple extrude modifier. We will be using the bevel profile modifier. Hope you like it.

Before we start. And since we are dealing with profiles, here are some sites that are good references of cornice profiles courtesy of www.google.com:
1. http://www.cvilleindustries.com/Cornic1.jpg
2. http://www.decorative-coving.co.uk/products.php?cat_id=1&subcat_id=1&clear=1
3. http://www.lafargeplasterboard.com.au/cornice
4. http://www.fiberglasstechnologies.com/Profiles.asp?ProfileAction=Cornices&CatID=1
5. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cornice
And here are the 7 easy steps:

Good thing about this is that when you edit your cornice profile, the whole thing follows. So you don't have to worry if you miss some details on your cornice. Good luck!
You can also do this.
