What kind of CG Artist are you??

I just saw this thread in the other forum and just want to have it also here in CGP..Thanks guys!

What kind of CG Artist are you??

One that articulates and stays true to detail in the Model (Pre Rendering), or
One that corrects everything in a photoshop (Post Rendering), or
A little of both?

Well I am mixture of this and that - work only on what the camera sees. Its a stupid thing (aray!) to spend time modeling or texturing a banyan tree when all you'll see in the final render is a single pixel - well there is no such thing as a single pixel tree. Lets make that 128 X 128.

When im doin my work i will always see to it na maganda siya...closest to the real world....kahit mahirap abutin sige lang till you reach the highest point from which are my siblings i can shared....

one who tries to make do with whatever machine is available, and who find ways in coming up with relatively acceptable images, even if the machine used is not at par with that of the standards. It may be by:

1. not modeling everything, only those that can be seen on camera (like what sir vertex said).
2. messing up with the render engine settings to make it work faster on slower machines, but still get a good looking, image.
3. If all else fails, cheats are available via Photoshop.

likewise to posted above, i just do what needs to be done with the least effort...an basically:
cross out ---- >(old thinking): work harder
check-------->(new thinking): work smarter

...well, i'm a cg artist (accidental!) who uses a bit of both...lacking of time means post productions ( before )...
...but nowadays, trends ( Chromatic aberrations, Bokeh, DOF's, Lens Effects, etc...) are into post production...
...so for the sake learning, i uses both...but i wouldn't call it "cheating" nor "correcting", maybe enhancing...after all, what matters most are the images you produced exactly at a given time...

I'm a realist, yet fantasy driven artist... so sa CG I'm mostlly 2D but 3D is a tool for me too. I use it to enhance but I edit it heavilly in 2D apps.
