PROBLEM WITH ROOF MODELED IN AUTOCADD

good day po sa lahat ng cgp masters, gurus, experts, members, apprentice and padawans... nagmodel po ako ng roof tile sa autocadd ok nman po at nabuo ko ang model subalit nung nagcheck po ako ng file size ay inabot po sya ng 52mb sa roof pa lang po.... which resulted to insufficient memory problem pag nag file link na po ako sa max.. at hindi na po sya nag rerender... my question po is paano ko po mapaliliit ang file size or if theres any remedy aside from remodeling the roof in max or using batzal... pasensya na po mejo nanghihinayang lang po sa effort ng pag buo ko ng mabait na roof na yun.... roof lang po kasi talga yung prob ko dun kasi once na tinanggal ko yung roof, back to normal yung max ko sa pag rerender... sana po ay matulungan nyo po ang inyong abang lingkod na nagsusumikap maging kagaya nyo... maraming salamat po sa inyo.. you rock!

try po ninyo taasan yung dynamic memory sa system ng VRay default is 400 mb if mtaas naman RAM cp mo try mo 1500 mb or 1 gig den try to link it again sa maxs..hope it would help

hey bro.... this is my suggestion.... model your roof not in just one file...save it as per face of the roof... then link it together in max... remember to proxy every single attachment to make your max file size small... hope it helps...

boss,,3d model din po ung gigamit ko ngaun sa roof tile,,pro sa max na ako naglalagay,,,eproxy mo muna ung roof tile mo,,tpos dun mo na ecopy sa max kac masmagaan dahil nga nakaproxy boss,,tyr nyo po boss,,

eto po ung sa akin,,sana ngkaroon kau ng idea,,sana po makatulong,,gud luck po
wag mo na rin lgyan kung hnd na mkkta sa camera,,,,

galing tlga mga master. yeah why not model it in max. mas madali ang buhay. codos to sir ice frik, erick and jarul.

Alam ko sa max lang ang vrayproxy sir...heres the link kung papaano gawin sana makatulong madali lang siya gawin...

imho lang : sa akin kung ako e import ko yan sa 3ds. pero mas i prefer to
max kasi time saving!

para mawala yung mga ganitong problema
workflow na ginagamit ko e

1. floor plan from autocad
2. all 3d in 3dsmax
3. all materials - vray materials

never model 3d in autocad if you will render in max unless your using revit

I'll go with this one too sir nicotinefreeman...avoid doing your model in ACAD...use only as a reference or guide only...the rest MAX & VRAY. Plenty of member will help you if you're goinn to start using MAX...good luck

ok po mga masters.. sige convinced na po ko pag aralan ang pag momodel sa max instead of nakagawiang acad... sir nagawan ko na nga po pala ng paraan yung roof na modeled in acad.. nag file link ako sa max tapos bind tapos vray proxy.. na render ko na ng maayos sir ipopost ko na lang sa architectural pero nagkaron sya ng flat surfaces and im not very well satisfied with the outcome kaya sana po ay magabayan nyo ko mga masters sa pagsisimula kong pumasok sa max madelling kasi napansin ko its seems na max maganda na, max magaan ang file at mas mabilis pa magrender.. salamt po ulit mga masters.. pa cnc na lang po sa architectural.. mag popost po ko ngaun maraming maraming salamt po ulit mga humble masters.. more power and God bless!

there's nothing wrong modelling in cad... you can proxy your modelled cad drawings by simply "bind" the linked files (thats where you gonna do it in max of course and under file link manager) and when its no longer linked then its time to proxy.. thats it...

---master Erick--- thanks for that master Erick; especially when you need that model to generate "architectural" elevations & sections... Ergo I strongly disagree with master Artedesnyo's & mod 3dzone's statements that we should "never" model in cad... I personally model my rooftiles in cad and still manage to render in max...
