My suggestion to you would be to turn off all material specularities and raytrace anything that has even a small shine. Make your lightsources visible or put self illuminated cards in place of the roundish specularities.

Real objects actually do not have specularity (that one roundish highlights from your materials). The specularity we have in max is a remnant of the old days when raytracing and machines were slow. The highlights we see from real objects are actually reflections of the light sources... which is easy to do nowadays by making your light sources visible from reflections.

Also, check some of your objects' position. Pooh seems to be pooing in air.
