Hello guys .. ito po yung part 2 ng Lesson 4 ko .. kailangan nyo po talagang makita ito dito po yung secrets ng mentalray .. hope you like it .. meron pa pong part 3 ang Lesson 4 upload ko lng later pasensya super busy ako lately..

ahh meron bang video? thanks sa info .. nakuha ko yan sa diary of mentalray sa russian website ata yun .. ebook kasi medyo mahirap iimagine hehehe .. thanks ulit sa INFO hope marami din makikinabang sa techniques na yan..

This workshop will focus on various lighting scenarios such as creating a soft-box setup for product visualization, rendering a still-life scene, and using .HDR files for illumination. Some of the specific techniques discussed in this workshop include:

* Editing .mi files to unlock and adjust hidden shaders.
* Using the Blackbody & CIE_D shaders on light sources.
* Controlling light color via Kelvin controls on light sources and the mr Photographic exposure control.
* Discuss the pro’s and con’s of the various area light options available for mental ray in 3ds Max.
* Using various Final Gather techniques, including the FG Force mode.
* Installing & using Irradiance Particles in the HDR scene.

I have been a freelance digital artist for approximately five years. In that time I have worked on many projects most of which were mechanical illustrations for companies like Johnson Controls, Trane, Carrier, and Honeywell. However, I have also participated in various other projects such as teaching on-site mental ray classes and working with Autodesk to help create the mental ray ProMaterials.

I’m also an active member of many online forums such as CGsocietey (CGtalk), the Vizdepot, and Autodesk’s “the AREA” where I often assist users with their mental ray related questions. In addition to that, last year I teamed up with Russell Thomas, owner of 3dallusions.com, to create mrmaterials.com which is a free material repository for the mental ray community . I have also been providing free mental ray tutorials and tips from my website and blog for the past four years.

Sir Endo question lang po. bakit po kapag ginagawa ko po ung instruction niyo po sa pagedit eto po lumalabas kapagsaving point na po. sinunud ko naman lahat ng cnabi at nasa video niyo po. paano po ba gagawin ko po dito para maedit ko po ung file po ng BASE.MI?

sir i think naka vista po kayo... disable mo muna ang UAC sa vista .. tapos make sure na hindi naka readonly ang file na yan ... permission problem po yan hope naka help

saan ko po makikita ang UAC po sir dito sa vista? kapapalit ko lang kasi ng OS ko po kasi mas nagfufunction ng maganda ang Graphic Card ko po dito Sir. Nakakatuwa rin po kasi namention na po dito about sa HDRI na natanong ko po dati sa inyo po.

Sir check mo ang control panel tapos Users tapos hanapin mo ang disable User Account Control (UAC) yan po yung nag bblock ng ma non vista certified pag na disable mo po yan parang XP na lng ang Vista hope naka help..

Yup dinala ko ang HDRI kasi part yan ng Pagturo ko sa advanced sa Pinoycad..

Sir applicable din po ba to sa 2010 version ng 3dMax? Wala na po kasing nakalagay na "hidden" sa papalitang code. Salamat po ng marami. Isa po tong malupit na tutorial sa mental ray!

teacher maraming salamat.... malupit nga din talaga ang mental ray...nagustuhan ko po ung tutorial nyo... parang laging climax ung bawat tutorial nyo..

Sir pwede ba tong technique na to sa 3dmax 9?Kasi tinry ko,sinundan ko yung instructions,pero pagdating dun sa architectural max wla yung line na DOF bocka na edit den dapat.Wala sa photometric lights list yung mr sky portal..

Sir question ko lang po kung meron po bang specific na height ang isang object para maging effective ang rendering nito sa mental ray? Thank you po in advance

so far as long na real world scale yung gawa mo effective ang technique na ito..
