As for free, hmm.

Ditto master vertex...kids these days would rather get stuff rather than learn how to actually model them....hihihi....

Paano pala i-model to sir cray?

Yeah, exactly the point of Crayzard's Thread "nevermotion" and no offense meant to anyone - it will do you all good to be able to know your way around your 3d app, be that modeling, texturing, rendering.

CG is so broad it isn't just about vray, to survive this competitive world you need to excel in something else.

Pag nawala ang evermotion what will you render then?

Subdivision modeling. This is a derivation of box modeling. The idea is to keep your four-sided polygons to a minimum yet maintaining the silhouttes of the object when post render subdivisions like Turbosmooth or Meshsmooth is applied.

If you will notice, crayzard's modeling is composed of four-sided polys and less triads. The benefit of four-sided polys is evident when you meshmooth them as the smoothing remains manageable.

You need to plan your edge flows.

Magresearch muna kayo about polygonal modeling and if you have a question, I'm sure Crayzard and his gang will be very much willing to enlighten you all.

Post by crayzard on Wed Jul 01, 2009 1:57 pm

pangunahan ko lng po hindi ito flame baiting ha..........................

marami rami na ren po ako ulet new models for this project.. d ko lng ma render lahat kasi kinakin yung oras ko eh hehehe..
sir pwede tayu pumasok ng bagong business enimotion... hehehehehe buti sinabi ni sir v regarding sa nevermotion i dont really mean to offend anyone, gusto ko lng i train yung sarili ko kahit crunch time pa or maiksi yung deadline ng proj eh ill try not to use evermotion. kasi ngyayari is napapansin ko eh parang rendering skills na lng ang pinagtutuunan ng pansin ( no offense po ha pero minsan kahit sobrang ganda ng setup or render ng image tapos makita mo na evermotion lahat eh parang nagmumukhang pare-peraho lng yung rendered image ) . para na nga po yung mga rendering eh parang portfolio ng evermotion,

regarding po sa modeling.. just like what mr v said.. na i try to keep the model na four sided polys kahit d naman po sya i aanimate or hindi sya dadalhin sa sculpting program para na ren po ma sanay ako na makapag model ng hindi dinadaya or merun mga poles or tris sa mesh. ika nga ni mr v learn the edge flow/topology. my modeling teknik is shift drag edge, hindi po ako sanay sa box modeling.

nice discipline (and ultimately, skill) you got jeff.

personally weakness ko rin yang modelling but i am like u approaching my modelling by polys na rin. i find the shift drag technique more intuitive than box modelling nowadays Very Happy

by the way the new feature set of max 2010 is quite nice especially the modelling bit. cant recall what it's called but it's an improvement from previous releases.

i guess sir mushroom what your trying to say is the plug-in like the polyboost.. coz nasa default na xa ng max 2010.. anyways.. im just curious what's shift drag technique... i usually model on lines, and simple geometries... dunno what is shift drag.. hehehe... ignorant me. anyways it would be a great help if someone could enlighten me what shift drag is. para mapagpraktisan namn.

@ sir celes...

@ vamp_lestat....

post ko po example ko. eye modeling using edge modeling,, bali i started po with a plane lng.. ( select the edge then hold shift and drag nyo na po yung edge ) then ill just drag the edge para mabuo ko yung 3rd image
.. ( bali ang pinakagamit na tools d2 is target weld, ring and loop selection.

Maybe when i get back home....wala ako sa haus ngayon....

post mo pa sir dito yung iba.

We at Enising would like to clear the idea - baka isipin ng iba we hate evermotion. We don't. They do good stuff. As a matter of fact we have spent lots of funds to acquire a few of their sets. We use them from time to time and we believe there is a place for them. In the same way, we believe there is a rightful place for originality, talent and skill. The latter we try to develop among our people. For us, evermotion will remain an inspiration - if they can do it, so can we.

I'm currently in discussion with a Japanese furniture maker - if things go well - you have quite a bunch of stuff to play with.
