Vray Error

Good day po mga masters! I have this problem with Vray, I downloaded vray demo for 3dmax 2009 (32-bit) from chaosgroup, the installation was susscessful, but when i hit F10, sa Vray tab, lumalabas, "could not obtain license"..... i just had my laptop reprogrammed, pero wala naman problem dati kapag gamit ako ng vray. but now, lumalabas un "could not obtain license" kpag naginstall ng vray.... thanks in advance CGP! buttrock

wait lang tayo sa mga masters.. kac cla ang may alam nyan lalo na pag demo download...

Demo lang kasi un sir.Baka nagexpire na ung vray m! Try to buy the license 0ne sir.

1. check if you launched the vrlservice.
2. you should have an internet access or lan for the vrlservice to work - dunno if this still holds true for the newer releases though.

i have this kind of a problm... i always nid a internet connection to use vray properly... sa 64bit gmt ko.. pagmabgl net ang bgl din maglod ng material ko.. kabadtrip... my software is 3dmax9 vray1.5rc3

vray licensing does not necesarily need an internet connection, you'd need that if you are pointing to a license server on a machine that is mobile or physically not connected to the network.

Could not obtain a license means - there is no dongle in the USB port or there is a network problem and the license host can't be seen or recognized by your machine.

The demos does not look for the dongle because they are designed as demos. So that message is kind of weird and would happen only if there were changes to the regular demo installation.

Thank you very much po mga sir, gumana na din eventually, i run vray as administrator & run 3ds max as administrator as well, then when i assigned vray as renderer nwla na un error na "could not obtain license", i just have to run 3ds max as administrator everytime.....
