Re: SMALL, BIG & BIGBIG (a vigilant act)
this is a good work indeed! agree with them, lose the watermark, it increases the highlights when it's not needed.
you have a good talent and eye for details, and I know this image can be pushed further. So here are some crits.
1. the tail connection is off. adjust the curve that connects it to the body. even if I dont see where or how it connects, the tail on a complete 90deg angle would not connect well with the bone structure.
2. Im missing some definition with the creatures contact / cast shadow. though this image works without it much, probably its just me.
3. creatue chin/jaw highlights is too strong. notice kumakalas sya from the body kse hindi pumaparehas with the light source. tone it down.
4. mind the sharp edges. images has a good painterly feel pero pagdating sa claws nya nawala consistency. it's a give away using lasso and layers. I know we all use that but we need to blend it a bit more.
5. ganda ng depth ng image, but highlights from the creature's back are over exposed, at humahawa na with the one from the background. or probably its your watermark that is doing it, I cant tell. you may want to also adjust your black levels ( levels are probably just me )
6. be consistent with the sharp and blurred parts lang.
I hope I didnt offend or sound rude here. just some things I noticed ( or probably it's just me )
looking forward with your next work, bro!

Re: SMALL, BIG & BIGBIG (a vigilant act)
Nice concept! Suggestion ko lang sana nilagyan mo ng depth yung foreground. What I mean by that is making things in your foreground darker in value in comparison to your middleground and background which are relatively lighter. That way you can suggest contrast, depth, and distance. Mas darker sa foreground kasi mas-malapit sa atin.
The first image you see is your image in grayscale. The second one is where I made adjustments. Basically, I just darkened the foreground and receded some elements into the background like the jungle vines at the top right. You'll now notice that your focus is on the creature and the little flying insect. When I look at the original my eyes started to go everywhere like on the really dark jungle vines and especially at the stuff in the foreground that's another reason why I darkened it. Pag-isipan mo kung saan mo gusto i-focus yung mata ng mga viewers. Prioritize mo yung focal point/s mo. Yung mga detalye, secondary na yun kasi they're not as important. Parang sa movie may lead actors ka and supporting actors. Syempre yung focus ng kwento nasa leads mo. Yung supporting actors pang-support!
Bigyan mo ng visual hierarchy yung bawat elements ng picture mo. Yung nasa taas ng hierarchy syempre mas-importante kaysa sa iba.
Anyway, good luck with your other work!
