hi! this is my first post! i've been teaching myself how to draw/paint. here's one painting done in photoshop. i made it for a local komikon contest




here's a recent pastel/chalk brush tool practice i did, trying to channel calirezo (who is sooo good with pastels)

not bad at all. I see you're from CA too, another pinoy nice.
for a self thought, these are coming along well.
I sugest work more on basic anatomy, it's a never ending learning. And you'll see when you're confident enough with your basic anatomy and gesture, creating creature would be a lot more fun.

bWorks: yup that's for the prom queen i am trying to study bridgman, super galing nya magsketch. i still need a lot of practice do you also post at chow?

No i havent post anything on chow, i just lurk. Iwas ganna go for d napoleonic wars, d cross over one, but didnt have time. Spare time are spent on updating my SB there, n workin on my portfolio. I'll check up on bridgeman is it? There's heeps of great artists there, i spend most of my visits in the SB page and finally finished, and in CA, MB events thread.
Keep up the hardwork.

what's the link to your sb? i have an sb there too, but it's rarely updated yup it's bridgman, i've read a lot of artists mentioning him in ca. his books are really old though.
