need help po mga cgp members...

Post by 3D newbie on Thu Sep 17, 2009 11:46 am

First topic message reminder :

mga sir/mam..ask ko lng po if ano po ang prob. ng comp/laptop ko or ( settings )_(hehehe)..

tpos pag bibintangan p ko n di ceneseryoso ung work kaya matagal en parang d raw interior ung scene kasi la masyado

intel(R)core(TM)2 duo 2.00GHz
32 bit OS vista
3.5 GB RAM
dedicated graphics memory = 128 mb nvidia geforce 8400M GS ( VIDEO CARD/GRAPHICS CARD)
hard disk= 150 GB

The best way to find the actual problem is to borrow a deskstop machine from your coworkers and use that in your next project. And then see if that makes any difference.

If not, then there is certainly wrong with your workflow and/or you need to evaluate your working speed.

While it is not correct for superiors to stay ignorant of what it takes to come up with a 3d image and the efforts that goes with it - it also helps to understand that your boss simply has problems expressing what indifferent clients might say.

Most of the times - paying clients do not care if you haven't slept for four days - all they would care about is the image they require. So there you go, its not just you if that can even make you feel better.

With regards to the pay, I cannot comment on the going rate in that part of the globe because I haven't lived there, but I think that even if you get a lesser salary in the Philippines - the thought of being in your homeground with the family is still priceless and uncomparable.

If I were you and I feel being taken for a ride, I'd make two choices: I'd move somewhere else (someplace they'll give me a real machine and an equal opportunity) or give the Philippines a second chance again. I'll probably choose the latter.

Goodluck!

@3D newbie
it is a sad truth na isang kaugalian na ng mga pinoy ang pumayag na mababa ang sweldo kasi katwiran ay baguhan... baguhan na matatawag kung wala ka pang experience sa work na applyan mo pero kung meron na e dapat marunong tayong maging firmed lalo na kung well supported naman ng portfolio.

good to know nagdesisyon ka na. but take into consideration na bago ka magresign at maghanap ka muna ng 100% na malilipatan then give your employer at least a month for the smooth transition of works tasked to you.

ang pagiging "MABAIT" comes into many faces kaya BEWARE Idea Goodluck bro thumbsup

I'd like to expand what kietsmark mentioned otherwise we will be a bunch of rowdy, demanding and utterly masyadong bilib sa sarili - ignoramus filipino nationals abroad.

It's not wrong to ask for what you deserve but it doesn't mean that "What Pedro receives, Juan must also receive"

Why?

If Pedro is a master of his craft and Juan is an inferior pedro wannabee, I doubt employers in their good minds will even pay Juan the same amount they pay Pedro. Its just not fair.

So the bottomline of all bottomlines:

Your work will speak for itself - that's the gauge.

If you know someone who gets paid gazillions and he pump excellent images - do not envy or cry foul in the name of the motherland, pag-aralan mo estilo nya, learn from him and be good or even better than him.

Once you are able to achieve that - iparada mo ngayon iyang images mo and ask for what you really deserve.

I've interviewed people who speak like they know what they talk about, ask more salary than I can ever receive yet the protfolio was like the abomination!

by the way saan ka sa saudi?
