gaano katagal ung pag model, texture, render and post pro master?
can you share your technique sa the lens shader? saka your studio setup?

Clays and Wires
Hi to all:
here are the clays and wires i prepared..

lighting setup that i used (vray dome light, some plane vray lights as fill and rim lights)
lens -> i played with the glossiness, reflect and refract settings (trust your instincts always)

i made my own maps (the best choice always if you can).
here's a screen capture of the front view during render time...

Maraming(x2) salamat po sa pag view!

call me 'bro' or 'dude' may do
tips(para sa mga kababayan ko lang hehe)
modeling:
I did this as 'pang tanggal umay' from work, i started it with a box, once free i open the file and continue modeling for an hour or two (sometimes more if ginaganahan), whenever my colleagues (cgil & barorot) brings their d80 camera, i have to copy the details fast (i still dont have my own haha) so most of the time i relied on reference images, keeping in mind the golden rule in subdivision modeling for me ("always maintain QUADS"). what could be modeled in a week(full time) took some time (past time in other words).
texture:
i did my own maps and materials->
plastic material with bumps:
--->i used max's own speckle and splat maps, applied it on a plane, render as an image then i went back and forth from max & photoshop correcting the scales.
lens material:
--->i decided to model the real lens, i did some research and find out that the lens has several layers)
in each layer, i played with the glossiness, reflect and refract properties, tweaked the highlights/specular then i used spotlights to create the highlight thing.
studio setup:
--->i posted it with the clay and wires.
hope naihayag ko ng medyo maliwanag..salamat sa compliments bro.
