Siguro napanood niya yung movie na ito at dito siya nakakuha ng inspiration. He then pushed it way up further.

I think, they are looking into this because this is the next thing in human interface devices. The keyboard, mouse, graphics tablet & touch screen have been around for like 30 years or more and nothing like this has been made before. (except for the movies)
