good thing he'll do it on open source, the extent of this tech would really be endless once it came to open source developers. ..

I think, they are looking into this because this is the next thing in human interface devices. The keyboard, mouse, graphics tablet & touch screen have been around for like 30 years or more and nothing like this has been made before. (except for the movies)
