Vray for Sketchup Q&A

actually yung vray 1.48.....something was the newest version.

magandang araw po. tanung ko lang po sir,kasi pansin ko sa mga render po dito ng 3dmax+vray at sketchup+vray, mas malabo po ang render sa su+vray ko po,kesa sa mga render ng 3dmax+vray. ano po kayang problema sa settings ko.para maachieve ko po yung madetalyeng render.sharp at hindi po malabo.maraming salamat po sir.

Hi.. I have a question about shadows in exterior rendering. Every time i tried to render an image using vray for sketchup this is what happen with the shadow::

I use sunlight for global lighting.

Which setting should i change to make the shadow more 'soft' like this image:: (this image is not my rendering)

(i use irradiance map and light cache for indirect illumination)

good day to all cgpians..asko ko lng mga masters regarding displacements...

i have a problem between displacement sa vray material settings and the dispacements sa vray settings..
i have a scene na may grass and pool..grass and pool have different displacements..with regards to its vray material displacement settings wala po akong problem kasi may individual settings ang both materials..my problem is..once na inudjust ko yung displacement sa vray settings sa options ng vray..pareho napaplitan ang settings ng both grass and pool..naapaektuhan ang both materials.. once i adjust sa option settings ng vray ang grass..pati yung pool nasasali na adjustments...
any solutions po?!!..thank po in advance..more power to CGPinoy!

vray displacement is global, while material displacement is not. if you want per material yung displacment ng material ang i adjust mo. kung iaadjust mo ang vray displacement maapektuhan talaga lahat. so if yung material lang ang gusto mo na hinid maapektuhan ang iba. you have to focus on the dispalcement of that particular material.

sir nome..thanks for the quick response..ah ok get it..global pala yung sa vray settings kaya lahat apektado..the reason why i ask this because..i saw one tutorial here regarding grass and how to create one..the tutorial shows that..the vray displacement material and the vray global displacement was both adjusted..so thats why when i try to imply it on my scene na may pool..pati yung pool naapektuhan..so it means po sir na kung i have 2 materials with displacemnet..i'll just be adjusting on its material displacement and leave the global displacemnet as it is?....

Mga Sir/ma'am Tanong ko lang po, I'm using VFSu v.1.5 minsan bagal mag start ng render. Tagal lumabas nung render window. Ano po kaya ang dahilan nito? Sa mga characters po ba na nasa model o sa settings? May naka experience na rin po ba nito sainyo?

nag cacrash po ba ? bago mag start ng render? dati na eexperience ko po iyan. pero may set up ata jan para mapabilis.

this phenomenon usually occurs with high polymodels. lalo na kapag pinutakti mo ng component na galing sa 3dwarehouse. so sa parsing time nagkakaroon ng katagalan. si pareng vray ay naloloko at nahihilo kung sa labas ba ng Component or group ang material o saluob mismo ng group. this has been address with the new version.
pero kung yung 1.05.33 ang gamit mo use a script called "remove c-g materials".
