"The Arcade"
”The Arcade”
Hi fellas. This is my latest 3D scene that I would like to share with you guys. It’s been a while.
Introduction:
Arcade - A covered passageway with shops and stalls on either side; A structure composed of a series of arches supported by columns
This element inspired me to make such scene in 3D. Arcade or covered sidewalks are essential to me whenever I design or plan a development. It plays an important role in the traffic aspect whether it would be a pedestrian or vehicular. It protects people from rain and harsh sun lights. A very good application of this in the Philippines is the strip of Recto and the area Quiapo along Quezon Road.
3D:
My aim in this scene is to improve my texturing skills. I used the Unwrap UVW and other UVW modifiers. I painted and edited the textures in PS. At first it was a bit hard but once you get use to it, it’ll just be a breeze.
Here are the images:
C&C’s are welcome.

Re: "The Arcade"
good work
here are my cnc's bro.
based on the definition of an arcade that you included, can we consider this as an arcade? i can see no shops nor stalls on either sides. it can't be considered as sidewalks also because sidewalks doesn't have deadend.
your texturing is superb and the modeling part also.
-medyo maigsi lang ung tangkay ng kariton bro. bitin kapag nilagyan ng tali pangsabit sa leeg ng hihila.
-Leaves are overdone imho. where it came from? i assumed nalaglag un sa puno na nasa tabi.
-medyo maliit din ung puno imho.
-i can't see the relevance of putting the person din kasi by looking at the scene it seems it was abandoned for ages and then suddenly there comes a man cleaning. what is the story?
-putting some cracks might enhanced the scene din.
-what structure is this? parang napakataas ng empty space after ng apex line ng arches.
nevertheless, you accomplished your aim no doubt about it

Re: "The Arcade"
here is the reference image that I based my scene upon.

Thanks to all the comments.
Thanks for the c&c AKA
I got the Kariton as free from Turbo Squid Website so I have no idea about the use of that but I assumed that the Kariton is not intended to be attached to an animal but for a person. Parang hihilahin niya so some sort. As for the scattered leaves medyo overdone nga. Hehe... I was carried away with the Itoo Software. The proportion of the arches are based on the reference image. And ung definition... Hehe... medyo self contradicting nga din but if you look at some other definitions medyo broad din. Cool!
Thanks again for the CnC AKA. Very constructive. Cheers!
