Mga masters, I'm gonna have a go! I think the timing is quite ok... pero di ko din alam kung hanggang saan makakaya ko hehehe... Hope you guys don't mind having a Mental Ray renderer here...

kasalukuyan nageexperiment sa mental ray, I think this would be a good chance to get to excel more with it.

MY CONCEPT

Here goes... My concept is going to be a gritty setting, dark and a bit creepy mmm, I'm thinking of having some crows and even flock of them flying around... err... I just hope I could effectively create it.

Hope to do some sketches for my prelim concept art soon...

Nakakainspire po mga concepts nyo mga masters! I'm glad I'm trying out for this.

PROGRESS 1

sa wakas eto na po prelim concept ko... Here goes:

I decided to go for a comic pages concept... it will be composed of two pages, 1 splash page and 2nd will be a page composed of panels of the towers chopped to pieces for some multiple shot of my character...

image 1 - splash page of the tower, wide shot with all the crows flying around


image 2 - comic page setup with panels of the tower views from roof to ground...


didn't anymore do a sketch baka sabihin ng mga masters dinaan ko na talaga sa comic illustration

for info nga pala, nabanggit ko na din before sa mental ray thread, ok na ok din yun IP ng mental ray (Importons & Irradiance Particle) just like from vray... new to max2010, baka interested kayo hehe... inaaral ko pa e, ganda din at mabilis ang output!

still need lots of work on materials and textures

very nice update... im still bothered by the giant moon. nevertheless kapag siguro nandun na yung mga bats.. siguro magiiba.

nice concept bro.... nakuha mo na ang mood i think concentrate naman sa texturing....

bro salamat sa bisita. glad you like my update... hehe the moon bothers me as well, I am currently looking for a descent texture of a real moon, as of now I only used sponge material that's why hehehe and also, hmm I think I may consider bats rather than crows I'll think about it... thanks gain brod nomer!

We are extending the competition for 2 more weeks and 3 days.

Extended Deadline is March 25, 2010, US time. So that's 12 noon Philippine Time the next day.

Rules of extension:
1. Only those who have submitted and made a thread on or before March 8, 2010 are qualified to continue.
2. Only those who have made a WIP (work in progress) or a final image on or before March 10, 2010 are qualified to continue.
3. All threads who do not qualify to the first 2 rules will be locked.
4. All lock threads after March 10, 2010 are no longer qualified to continue.
5. Previous rules still apply.
