silvercrown: 1st Exterior Rendering Competition

I've been struggling in finding time to play, learn and finish my entry. My objective was to learn how to use Vue Xtream with 3Dsmax and render it in Vray, i have a little success. I end up playing with the standalone Vue instead.

My Concept:
A poem by my favorite poet Pablo Neruda

The Light Wraps You

The light wraps you in its mortal flame.
Abstracted pale mourner, standing that way
against the old propellers of the twighlight
that revolves around you.

Speechless, my friend,
alone in the loneliness of this hour of the dead
and filled with the lives of fire,
pure heir of the ruined day.

A bough of fruit falls from the sun on your dark garment.
The great roots of night
grow suddenly from your soul,
and the things that hide in you come out again
so that a blue and palled people
your newly born, takes nourishment.

Oh magnificent and fecund and magnetic slave
of the circle that moves in turn through black and gold:
rise, lead and possess a creation
so rich in life that its flowers perish
and it is full of sadness.

Done some study and testing on my scene, mukhang di kakayanin ng machine ko!
Hopefully by the end of the week meron akong prelim, i don't know if i could stick to my original concept though...
Whew...

I decided to change concept.... di ko kaya yung una kong concept... too complicated for me and my machine...
I decided to go with an environment scene...

My WIP's are on the 1st page...

This is very preliminary, hopefully i'll do a better scene....

Nice Wip po sir!! vue po pa gamit nyo?

nice concept sir,,, aabangan ko ito...keep it up!!!

I was really hoping to see the original concept kahit mga preliminary renders. Anyhow, this new concept looks promising. A better POV is what I suggest. And maybe lose some of the thick foliage beneath the tower and add some elements like a boat and some dock. (Nakialam na sa composition, sensya na sir.) Just my two cents.
